Hot to Use Hemp Trim

Make a Cream

You will need:

• 10 grams of ground-up hemp trim
• 1 ½ cups of coconut oil
• ⅓ cup of beeswax.

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 240°F and spread the trim onto a baking sheet. Bake the trim for around 30 minutes, stirring halfway through. The heat will help to activate the trim. Heat up the coconut oil over low heat, stirring constantly. Once the trim is done baking, mix it in with the coconut oil. Sift this mixture into a jar. Now that the oil is in a jar, put the beeswax into the pan and melt it on low heat. Add the oil and stir. If you want a fragrance to your mixture, now would be the time to add it.

Make Butter

Butter is a great way to incorporate hemp trim’s CBD.

You will need one:

• Cup of butter
• 7 to 10 grams of ground trim.

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 240°F. Place the hemp trim on a non-stick tray on top of parchment paper. Bake the trim for 30 minutes and make sure to stir halfway through. After it is done baking, grind up the trim. Use a saucepan to melt one cup of butter over low heat and one cup of water. The addition of the water helps keep the butter from burning. Add the ground trim to the melted butter. Simmer the mixture over low heat for two hours. Stir occasionally. Never allow the mixture to boil. Strain this mixture over a jar. Place in the refrigerator to allow the mixture to harden into butter.

Hemp flowers contain CBD, which can be absorbed through the skin. This is why using hemp trim to make a cream is a great option. While making a salve can take a few days, it is not a difficult process.
